2009年、一軒の中古住宅のDIYからルルルの物語は始まりました。「不動産にもっと個性を、住まいに新しい価値を」という信念のもと、色鮮やかな壁紙や家具付きの賃貸アパート、高知初のシェアハウスと形を変え、現在は「泊まる・暮らす・集う」が融合した場へと進化。
常識に捉われず、100人のうち3人が熱狂的に愛してくれるような、唯一無二の居心地の良さを追求し、今日も世界中の旅人と地元の日常を繋いでいます。

Let's enjoy cross-cultural exchange with "Japan" as the topic of conversation over drinks.
A Polish painter not only let me stay in his luxurious home but also treated me to his wife's proud regional cuisine. The owner of a Nepalese buffalo barbecue restaurant took time out of his busy schedule to show me around a temple in the suburbs. A French accountant took me to a cheap and delicious restaurant on a back street that only locals would know about. Many other people also extended a helping hand in various ways, and each of these encounters, along with my long journey through Eurasia, remains deeply etched in my heart.
As I was running through the monotonous winter landscape of Iran, enduring the cold, I began to think concretely about opening a guesthouse in Japan to welcome travelers from overseas after this journey was over. It felt like it was my turn to set up a guesthouse and add color to the travels of those who came to Japan. Fortunately, I was born and raised in Kyoto, and Kyoto is a popular destination for many foreign tourists. I remember running with a strange sense of excitement, feeling as if I had finally found a job that I truly wanted to do.

初めて高知市上本宮町の中古一軒家を自宅として購入。
この時からDIYに目覚め、ウッドデッキや小屋などを自分で作り始める。それと同時に、新しい生活スタイルが提案できるアパート経営に関心を持ち始める。
高知市愛宕山にて、全10室の収益アパート購入。
全面リフォームし、さらに自分たちでもDIYをしながら、アパート経営をスタート。
部屋ごとに壁紙を変え、カラフルで個性的なビジュアルの物件は当時珍しかった。ベッドやカーテン、照明などだけでなく、冷蔵庫や洗濯機など生活に必要な家電が最初から揃った賃貸物件として人気を集める。
愛宕山アパートの一部をさらにリノベーションし、高知で最初のシェアハウスをスタート。
キッチンやシャワー、リビングを共有しながら、5人が共同で暮らすことのできる女性専用シェアハウスとして案内し始めるが、当初はなかなか不動産屋さんに理解してもらえず苦戦。
やがて、学生、移住者、外国人など、さまざまな女性達が少しずつHPを見て集まって来るようになる。ワンルームの賃貸物件とシェアハウスという複数の生活スタイルが併設する物件として、順調に稼働し始める。
高知市旭町の元ブティックだった3階建て国道沿いの路面ビルを購入。
大幅にリノベーションを施し、カフェ、ゲストハウス、シェアハウスが一緒になった高知で初めての複合施設を営業開始。「泊まる、暮らす、食べる、遊ぶ」がコンセプト。
春に約15年勤めた公務員を副代表・元吉かやのが退職 給食調理員だった前職の経験を活かし、かやのがカフェの店長として準備。
モーニング、ランチを中心に 、スープカレーの美味しい店として営業開始。
同時にゲストハウスとして旅館業も初めての試みとしてスタート。
Not only are domestic tourists visiting Kochi, but a large number of foreign tourists are also coming to the area, riding the wave of the inbound tourism boom, and Kochi is beginning to feel a sense of accomplishment.
The cafe has hosted numerous events, including English conversation classes and international themed cafes featuring foreigners living in Kochi, and has gradually gained recognition.
I renovated my former home in Kamimotomiya-cho, Kochi City, and started a rental property business.
At the end of that year, Yoshitaro Motoyoshi, the representative of Office Rururu, resigned from Hot Kochi Co., Ltd., a local publishing company where he had worked for 20 years.

We've rented an entire building next to the main building and are preparing to open "Lululu Main Building Annex."
To increase the number of rooms in the shared house, we completely renovated the building and expanded our shared house business.
The shared house quickly became fully occupied, but due to the impact of the coronavirus, tourism demand rapidly declined.
This is the first time since the company's founding that we have experienced a decline in both revenue and profit.
Anticipating demand from the Olympics, Lulu Sangenjaya opened for business. This is the first store to open outside of Kochi Prefecture.
I sold the house (my former home) that I had been using as a rental property.
My first time selling real estate.
Everything about Lulu started with this DIY project at home, so it's a particularly meaningful experience for me.
Due to lower-than-expected sales, the Sangenjaya store was closed after about a year.
The rental property on Mount Atago was registered as a ryokan (Japanese inn), and unlike Asahi Honkan, it began operating as a simple lodging facility for groups. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, it opened up new demand as a property where guests could enjoy themselves without coming into contact with other guests.
With the COVID-19 situation showing signs of calming down somewhat, both shared houses and guesthouses are gradually recovering.
The first married couple to live in Lulu's share house has also been formed!
We, the Motoyoshi couple from Lulu, will be witnesses!
